Fentrol.hu – Digital Aerial Photo Archive

The Digital Aerial Photo Archive at fentrol.hu is a round-the-clock service for accessing the digitized aerial images of LTK’s archive. In the ‘offline’ archive there are approximately half a million images stored, which were taken between 1959 and 2007. Approximately 63 000 archive images were scanned in the EU-financed Digital Aerial Photograph Archive Project, which was successfully completed in 2014. Since then, LTK still continuously digitizes the archive and publishes approximately 9000-10000 aerial images every half a year.

Geoshop.hu geoportal

The renewal of the geoshop.hu geoportal was implemented in the KÖFOP-1.0.0-VEKOP-15-2016-00023 project. The updated geoportal not only has a new design and graphic engine, but also makes a wider range of geodata accessible. In the updated ordering process, the area should be selected first, then the geoportal automatically shows the available products for the chosen area.

Online service of geodata

Geodata managed by the LTK can also be accessed online via WMS, WMTS, or web application. In case of WMS and WMTS, the user receives the url of the service that can be opened in a GIS software or be built into a web service. In case of the web application, the user can open a webpage developed by the LTK, where basic map tools are available as well as the geodata itself, no additional GIS software is required.

Coordinate transformation solutions – ETRS89 -> (EOV, EOMA)

Transformation model developed by the Satellite Geodetic Observatory uses the national transformation defined by the OGPSH (National GPS-Based Network) points between the ETRS89 – HD72 (Hungarian Datum 1972) geodetic datums. The projection to the plane is made by the EOV projection equations, and then the residual errors from the national transformation are taken into account by interpolation within the patches of the correction grid. The height transformation is performed using the INGA points and the Hungarian HGEO2000 geoid surface.

LPIS browser

The LPIS browser operated by the Lechner Non-profit Ltd. contains the data of the Land Parcel Identification System prepared by the National Land Centre. Cadastral parcel number, or LPIS physical block ID can be searched, and the system shows the areas eligible or non-eligible for subsidy. Drought risk and other protected areas based on the recent ortophotos are also available. After login, several other professional functions can be used.

National ecosystem service – mapping and evaluation (NÖSZTÉP)

The primary function of the Hungarian Ecosystem Base Map is  the presentation ofthe spatial propagation of local ecosystems in the form of a thematic raster format map with a three-level category system. The base map and the additional layers can be downloaded at the web portal created by the Lechner Non-profit Ltd.
