Geospatial services
Modern e-government practices both require and stimulate the utilization of data related to spatial location (spatial data) in completing state, municipality and authority tasks, which makes it essential to introduce a new, spatial approach to governmental IT solutions.
The most efficient tool to achieve this is the integrated processing of built environment-related 2D and 3D spatial data and natural environment-related spatial data registers, making them available for public administration purposes through spatial services. Related activities include:
- producing and obtaining spatial data
- quality controlling spatial data
- processing spatial data
- creating spatial databases
- analyzing spatial data
- visualizing spatial data
- regularly updating spatial data
These tasks are carried out by the Directorate of Spatial Services, operating since 2015 according to the following organizational structure:
- Division of Spatial Experts and Spatial Data
- Department of Spatial Planning Experts
- Department of Spatial Data
- Division of Technology and Planning
- Department of 3D Construction Methodology
- Department of Planning and Engineering
- Division of Earth Observation Operative Center
- Department of Photogrammetry
- Department of Earth Surface Monitoring
- Department of Space Remote Sensing
